‘Acredita no Véio’ - The Last Remix. Sofi Tukker brings the sunset.
Florida-meets-Santos-meets-Ixtapa for a beach soccer finale.
Having charmed everyone with his debut single Acredita No Véio (Listen to the Old Man) released for his 80th birthday, and following funky, dancefloor excursions with Fatboy Slim and Galantis; the Pelé and Rodrigo y Gabriela remix adventure reaches a beatific, lovable conclusion with a divine intervention by Florida-based duo SOFI TUKKER.
Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern jumped at the opportunity to work with Pelé and us on "Acredita No No Véio", given their long-standing interest in Brazilian / Portuguese culture. Their debut single "Drinkee," with its instantly memorable guitar hook, jubilant rhythm, and Portuguese lyrics adapted from the contemporary Brazilian poet Chacal, was nominated for a Best Dance Recording Grammy® in 2017, which was followed by a Best Dance/Electronic Album Grammy® nomination for their debut album Treehouse in 2019.

SOFI TUKKER add:
"Growing up, we both heard about the greatest soccer player of all time, Pelé. He always felt like more of a myth or a god than a real human. Sophie's imaginary friend growing up was even named Pelé after him. And so the fact that we got to work on a song of his was a surreal experience. But we didn't just do it because of who he is. The song is awesome and it makes us want to dance. The children's voices are so uplifting and the way he laughs at the end really makes us smile. Also, of course, we love Brazilian Portuguese passionately, so all around it was a dream."
